AULR, ALR, AUBLR, AUILR, and JGSPL share a common mission as student organizations of WCL to support diversity and inclusion within our community. To do so, the JJC Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee is offering an opportunity for journal members across each journal to participate in a voluntary anti-racism book club.
The Book Club will be hosted by each individual journal separately, beginning with JGSPL, which has been organized by the Internal D&I Subcommittee. Each journal will host an hour-led discussion consisting of five to ten questions regarding the book selection. This Book Club will read books that investigate issues of law and race as a means to further educate journal members. The Book Club will be a safe space to explore how the systematic structures of racism can be challenged and dismantled. Journal members who wish to participate will be responsible for obtaining their own book and will have to sign up for each book club session.
